Indexceptional has taken the leading position in a new backlink indexing comparison published by SEO consultant Charles Floate.

The 2026 study tested major indexing platforms using real URL groups rather than relying only on company claims or published success rates. In the final comparison, Indexceptional was listed as the best overall choice, with a reported indexing rate of 99.4% and an estimated time to first crawl of approximately 15 minutes.

Those figures placed Indexceptional ahead of every other indexing platform included in the published results.

Charles Floate’s comparison listed Rapid URL Indexer at 92%, SpeedyIndex at 89.9%, IndexMeNow at 89.1%, Omega Indexer at 85.3% and GigaIndexer at 81.2%. Google Search Console was included as a free baseline with an estimated indexing rate of approximately 50%.

How did Charles Floate design his backlink indexing comparison test?

The comparison was designed to represent several common SEO use cases.

Charles Floate created three URL cohorts containing 15 URLs each. The first focused on editorial backlinks, including guest posts and niche edits placed on publisher websites. The second included formats that are often more difficult to index, such as press releases, profile pages and citations. The final group covered supporting assets, including Web 2.0 pages, cloud stacks and tiered links.
